Châteauneuf-du-Faou Archery: 154 Compete in Indoor Championship

The arrows flew this weekend at the Ar Sterenn complex in Châteauneuf-du-Faou. Saturday January 3 and Sunday January 4, 2026, the individual indoor archery championship at 18 meters brought together 154 participants, from U13s to seniors. Organized by the Archers de l’Aulne with the support of 21 volunteers, the competition had “an excellent participation rate”, according to Yannick Bizien, president of the Archers de l’Aulne. “The attendance was excellent. It is among the best among the competitions already organized in the Ar Sterenn room.”

Five podiums among the locals

Sixteen members of the Alder Archers competed. In the U13 category, Enora L’Hostis took second place, followed by Sarah Foubert. Among the U15s, Alexia-Toscana Gibierge-Abati also obtained a second place.

Among the seniors, Nathalie Celton (2nd, recurve) and Fabien Aubert (2nd, compound) complete the list of locals. “With 39 licensees, we are calmly considering the organization of the departmental nature shooting championship at the end of March in Méros, and a 3D shooting at the beginning of July,” concludes the president.
