Suárez’s last goal was the highlight of this wonderful Champions League evening! And we were spoiled again: sporting and Bodø/Glimt provided the stunts of the evening, Real Madrid handed out a pandering to Pocognoli and co, and Arsenal deservedly won on the field against Inter. Feel free to relive the entire champions League evening below!

Sporting – PSG: 2-1

It is unlikely, but Sporting is on its way to a real stunt! A shot from trincao is still (poorly) processed by Chevalier, but Suárez is able to beat the PSG goalkeeper in the rebound. With his second of the evening he completely hits PSG to the canvas.

Villarreal – Ajax: 1-2

Up and over! Bounida puts Gaaei in an excellent deep position, who lays it backwards on Edvardsen. The substitute stays cool and beats Tenas. The Amsterdammers turn it all around and are on their way to a three-pointer!

Inter – Arsenal: 1-3

It is Gyökeres who opens the books. Arsenal can counter, and on the edge of the box the substitute decides to take a swing. Sommer still has half a hand, but cannot prevent The Gunners from scoring the decisive 3rd goal.

Real Madrid – Monaco: 6-1

they had never made 5 against a French opponent, but now they just put 6 in the basket! Jude Bellingham is played nice and deep by Valverde, passes Köhn and puts the ball away in the empty goal: 6-1!

Sporting – PSG: 1-1

quickly put things in order by PSG. Substitute Kvaratskhelia comes in well and curls the ball wonderfully into the far corner. Rui Silva has been beaten and this time VAR does not intervene. PSG side by side, can they get over it now?

Trossard was not able to score his goal after all, but can now rest. His assist is currently still good for the winning goal!

Sporting – PSG: 1-0

It is actually Sporting that takes the lead! In a messy phase, the Parisians cannot get the ball away, and it suddenly ends up at the feet of Suárez, who manages to beat Chevalier and give the Portuguese the lead! Against the flow of the game, but PSG is behind!

Real Madrid – Monaco: 5-1

Sloppy away football at the Royal team saves Monaco’s honour. It is Teze who simply gets the ball in his feet and can beat Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper will be disappointed about this.

Copenhagen – Napoli: 1-1

with ten men the Danes actually move aside! Elyounoussi cleverly puts his foot in front of Buongiorno in the 16, and is then hooked. The referee is unrelenting and points to the spot. With shaking legs, Larsson misses his first attempt, but the rebound is a breeze. Copenhagen tied the score again, and Napoli has themselves to thank for that.

Real Madrid – Monaco: 5-0

What a pleasure this will be! It is Vinicius who puts the crown on the work for the Madrilenians with a delicious shot. The forfeit score is on the board, but you can feel in everything that they want to push through and finally give their supporters a real gala evening!

Time is slowly running out for PSG. They had plenty of chances, and in the second half there was even another goal disallowed by Dembélé for offside. Is it one of those evenings where everything goes wrong? Or can they still settle the score with Sporting?

A remarkable double substitution at Inter.Regulars barella and Martinez are leaving, replaced by Esposito and Fratesi. Is it for tactical reasons? Or are there injuries involved?

Villarreal – Ajax: 1-1

And that’s where the Amsterdammers come alongside! It is Gloukh who brings a free kick perfectly to goal. Comesana only just manages to hit his head, but this way he ensures that he extends it further into his own goal. 1-1 and having to do everything again for Ajax!
