Rosario Central He trained this Friday ahead of this game Sunday against River at the Gigante de Arroyito. Almirón’s team will clash with Millonario at 9:30 p.m. in search of another three points for the Apertura tournament.

Meanwhile, at noon there was a press conference for the last three reinforcements to arrive: Alexis Soto, Julián Fernández and Pol Fernández.

The first to speak was Pol who stressed that he is happy with his return, but that he is still preparing physically to be on par with the group. “I am very happy enjoying the moment. Very happy with how everyone received me. I am very grateful and I hope to be on par with the club. Meeting Almirón was a plus, but my desire when the possibility arose, I did not hesitate. I will try to join the team. The club is doing things very well. I hope to be on par as soon as possible and Jorge will decide where he will put me.”

“The reception from the people in my first two games was beautiful. It’s crazy beautiful what the people here in Rosario have. I had to play in two different positions but my natural position is left back,” remarked Alexis Soto.

“I hope that my arrival is to add to the group, and really achieve the goal we set for ourselves and we want to take Central to the top,” said Julián Fernández.

Soto comes from Defensa y Justicia, with 198 games in Varela. He has a lot of experience in the First Division in Argentina, he also knew how to defend the colors of Dock Sud (where he started), Banfield and Racing, a team with which he was champion of the 2018/19 League and the 2019 Champions Trophy.

Julián Fernández is 21 years old, he played 37 games in 2025, scored 3 goals and gave 5 assists. He was transferred to the New York team in 2023 from Liniers, where he played 60 games and scored 7 goals.

New York City spent five million dollars – plus 1.5 million in goal bonuses – to keep the forward, who participated in the Argentina under-17 and under-20 teams.

Finally, and who will have his second stage at the club is Pol Fernández. The 34-year-old former Boca begins his second stage wearing the Auriazul shirt after his time in 2013, where he played seven games in the 2013 Initial Tournament. He could be available next Sunday.
