CDAG: High Performance Technology Solutions

The Sports Performance Optimization Sub-Management of the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala (CDAG) carried out a cardiometabolic test using the K5 metabolic analyzer together with Yeison del Cid, a badminton athlete.

This equipment allows the measurement of oxygen consumption, fat and carbohydrate oxidation, as well as the athlete’s energy expenditure, generating key data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sports performance.

After this, a new test is carried out between 6 and 8 weeks later, once the coach has applied the work plan focused on the athlete’s improvements, with the aim of visualizing the progress achieved as planned.

Thus, the CDAG applies high-level technology to strengthen the development, optimization and competitiveness of the athletes that make up the Federated Sports System.
