NBA prediction
It would still have been a fascinating match full of expectations but the combination of Cleveland’s double away success in Philadelphia with Oklahoma City’s defeat at Miami makes Monday evening’s match (start at 8.30pm) between the Cavaliers and Thunder even more interesting.
In fact, Cleveland’s currently growing and almost rediscovered ambitions are faced with OKC’s well-established ambitions which, however, with these defeats which were non-existent in the first month of the season and which are now becoming episodic, are still giving an idea of vulnerability that wasn’t there before. The Thunder obviously remain the main force of this 2025/2026 NBA but games that seemed unplayable are now unplayable. Among these, there is certainly this match at the Rocket Arena despite the bookmakers’ prediction remaining firmly in favor of the guests who, on this very pitch, about a year ago (9 January 2025) lost one of their 14 matches of the season.
Last year’s Cleveland, however, was really going strong while this one is certainly more slow but the latest appearances speak in favor of Kenny Atkinson’s boys who, in the last away match, also found a “new” weapon: a super Jaylon Tyson with 39 points.
