Cavaillon Archers Win Interdepartmental Tournament | Target Success

This is a great success for the Saint Jacques Archers, made possible by flawless organization and the essential support of the sports department.” thus expressed Dominique Cannata, the president of the Cavaillon club, at the end of the interdepartmental archery tournament, Sunday January 11, 2026.

Cannata: “To introduce them to competition in a real situation”

Saturday January 10, at the Rosa-Parks gymnasium, 39 young people, aged 9 to 16 and from seven clubs in Vaucluse, participated in the tournament reserved for them. “Our objective was to introduce them to competition in a real situation.” confirmed the organizer, visibly satisfied. They were succeeded, Saturday evening and Sunday, by 143 experienced archers, coming from twenty-five clubs in the region and making 170 starts out of 180 possible.

Several winners in Cavaillon

This high-level sporting weekend, qualifying for the French championship, proved impressive in the precision and concentration of the participants. At the end of the tournament, when the awards were presented, in the presence of Magali Bassanelli, sports assistant, President Cannata could only congratulate himself on the good results of his protégés, such as Zoé Gonzalès (2nd among chicks), her sister Cassandra (2nd, beginner), Aloïs Le Saint (beginner, 1st, men) and among the “seniors 2”, the title won by Magali Rochette (1st, recurve).
