Araujo is back after more than a month of absence
Araujo played his last match for Barcelona at the end of November. During the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea, the Uruguayan defender was sent off.
Soon after, he traveled to Israel to recover. FC Barcelona wished him a speedy recovery.
It is still unclear whether Araujo will play again. He only returned to training at the end of December.
Araujo travels to Saudi Arabia without medical authorization
The Spanish daily AS reports that the defender is traveling to Saudi Arabia without medical authorization. But his presence on the team is mainly to maintain his training routine.
The Catalan club will face Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final on Wednesday evening in Jeddah. The other semi-final will pit Atlético Madrid against Real Madrid. The final will be played on January 11.
