Capricorn Tournament: National Players Compete

At the Pierre-Roger gymnasium, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., the grounds were always full, welcoming no less than 250 bad players aged 15 and over,” explains the president of Terres Touloises Badminton (TTOUBAD), Michaël Massini, alongside Alexandre Baudino, from TBC de Foug.

Coming from afar

During these three days of competition, 420 matches were scheduled, bringing together 67 different clubs from all walks of life.

Some people took advantage of the holidays to come from far away: Brittany, the south of France, the Paris region, Mulhouse, Strasbourg, Chaumont, one person even came from Toulouse and, of course, neighboring departments and all of Lorraine.

National level players

“Some players were at national level, among the 300 best French players. The local players valiantly defended their colors and obtained excellent results,” explains a delighted Michaël Massini.

A good level of play

This particularly anticipated edition has kept all its promises.

The organizers welcome record participation, a remarkable level of play and a warm atmosphere which won over both players and spectators.

Between fierce matches, impressive individual performances and nice surprises, the tournament offered a high-level sporting spectacle.

The public, numerous throughout the weekend, was able to encourage the competitors in an exemplary spirit of fair play.
