The Quebec Major Baseball League and its teams gathered in Granby this Saturday for the annual general meeting which launches the organization of the 25th season of the circuit.
The leaders of the circuit and the 11 teams have laid the foundations for this new season by making some important decisions.
First of all, the regular schedule does not change, in the sense that each team will play 30 games in the regular season.
The playoff formula remains the same with 2 of 3 qualifying series for the teams that will be ranked last in the B45 and Louisville Slugger sections.
Thereafter, the following rounds are all played under the four-of-seven format.
Finally, the LBMQ will once again send a team to the Canadian Senior Baseball Championship which will take place this year in Miramichi, New Brunswick.
Baseball Canada will organize this national competition from August 20 to 23.
To end this weekend in Granby, the annual selection session will take place this Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Le Castel hotel and will be presented via webcast on our Facebook page.
We would like to thank the Guerriers de Granby for organizing everything.
