After two days of well-deserved rest for players and staff, the 2025 African Cup of Nations enters its second phase with the knockout matches. From this Saturday, January 3, the last sixteen nations in the running will compete to try to win the coveted title.
The round of 16 was spread over four days, with two matches each time. The first match will take place at 5 p.m., the second at 8 p.m.
Senegal opens the ball this Saturday against Sudan at the Ibn Batouta stadium in Tangier. First in their group with victories against Botswana and Benin and a draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Senegalese are largely favorites against the Sudanese, who have only managed one success, against Equatorial Guinea. They finished behind Algeria and Burkina Faso.
