CAN 2025 Final: Infantino Condemns Fan Disorder

Fifa President Gianni Infantino on Monday condemned “unacceptable scenes” during the CAN final, blaming certain players and part of the Senegal staff who left the field for several minutes in the middle of the match.

Senegal won the CAN final against Morocco in unprecedented chaos, after extra time (1-0). A penalty whistled in favor of Morocco at the end of regulation time resulted in part of the Senegal team leaving the field.

“We strongly condemn the behavior (…) of some Senegalese players and members of the technical staff. It is unacceptable to leave the field in this way,” Infantino said in a statement sent to AFP.
