But BX Brussels is much more than a football club. “It is a social and sporting project dedicated to Brussels youth.”as its leaders remind us. As proof, the club has multiplied social projects. “Part of our impact is made on the pitch with coaches trained to transmit to young people all the good values of life outside of football. Our coaches are almost educators on a daily basis since they see the young people three to five times a week.”
BX Brussels, Vincent Kompany’s club, organized a Job Inspiration Day at Lotto Park, in the presence of Will Still: “Offering a plan B to young people”
Off the pitch, Vincent Kompany’s club has put together a series of tools which should help young people develop personally. “We give development workshops once a week focused on self-confidence, personal development, knowledge of one’s strengths, non-violent communication… When they are older, we help them discover careers, we find them internships, student jobs and sometimes even permanent jobs.”
Develop talent on and off the field.
With a clear mission. “Develop talent on and off the field. We hope that we can realize their dream of one day becoming pro, as several players who visited us today in Neerpede hope. But we know very well that few of them will achieve this and it is therefore important to develop them as much as possible off the field, so that they are ready to face their future life, with good values and the right attitudes.”
And even if he is in Munich every day, Vincent Kompany closely follows the development of his club. “Vincent came to the club three times during the first round, we regularly have him on the phone or his trusted men who are following the project and helping us. And when I talk about help, I don’t mean financially because that’s not the goal. Vincent launched the project and it now lives on its own. Afterwards, it remains the project of Vincent Kompany, a man who is a source of inspiration for everyone at the club.”
