According to Sky Germany and Sport Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt are set to move on Aurelio Buta. The right back flew to Copenhagen on Thursday for a medical, with an unveiling expected on Friday.
The reports add that Frankfurt will not receive a transfer fee for the 28-year-old. Specific terms remain unclear.
Whether the club have terminated his contract or agreed an incentives-based arrangement is not yet known. A loan is not possible because his deal is expiring, unless a new contract has been signed.
Buta has made just six appearances for Eintracht this season. He started once in the Bundesliga under Dino Toppmöller.
He also started against Tottenham in a Europa League dead rubber on Wednesday.
