On TV7, the coach of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Bruno Irlesexpressed himself on the fact thatEric Vandenabeele did not play much despite his recruitment this summer, making a sort of mea culpa.

However, today, he will support him by being in the recruitment unit. And obviously, the Bordeaux coach is delighted with this choice.
“Today, we are in National 2. I experienced Ligue 1 with Troyes, and a very specialized recruitment unit. Plus, there, it was City, so it was between Manchester City and Troyes… Today, they also had that in Ligue 1, even in Ligue 2, with a lot of recruiters. Today, yes, we are in National 2, so it’s normal, there have been employees… It’s normal in fact, the budget is not the same. We work with a limited staff at the recruitment level. Karim Saada has been there from the start, and he is a little more specific around recruitment, and I get along very well with him. Arnaud Saint-André for everything administrative. And then I have my staff working, I have a video analyst. We have to do everything. And there, Eric will also be with us because the Girondins are attractive and we have to work for the future, to anticipate. Plan A is that everything is going well, we are going up, but players will be called upon for example. And that, we are going to do it with him, he has this intelligence, he has this maturity, this knowledge because he played a lot in Ligue 2… It is important for me, to be able to rely on someone who was recently here, and who has this enormous advantage compared to other recruiters, to know exactly who is what in the squad. He knows them perfectly, he has been playing with them since this summer. It’s much easier. I was a recruiter at AS Monaco when I stopped, I could very well compare a player I saw in a match with the players on the squad. Eric will have that advantage.”
