A little more than a minute was played before Mika Zibanejad made it 1-0 for New York Rangers from close range and the visiting supporters probably thought it would be a fun night.

It was the exact opposite. The Boston Bruins pressed the gas at the bottom against substitute Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick and scored goal, after goal, after goal.
Marat Khusnutdinov equalized half a minute later, then the Czech Pavel Zacha accounted for two goals before the period break – the latter something special.
At first, everyone thought that Quick had made a great save and the period was over. But once in the catacombs, word came that the puck was actually in and the players were forced back onto the ice to replay the last 33 seconds.
The goals continued to pile up and before the evening was over, both Khusnutdinov and Zacha had scored a hat trick each, with the latter also scoring a fourth.

The Bruins ultimately won the game 10-2. It was the first time Boston scored 10 goals since 1988.
