The day before, The Athletic journalist Dianna Russini reported that the Ohio organization intended to fire the 43-year-old at the conclusion of the current campaign.

The Browns (4-12) will face the Cincinnati Bengals to end their 2025 season, who are guaranteed to miss the playoffs for a second year in a row.

Stefanski has been at the helm of the team since 2020 and has maintained a 44-56 record. Cleveland has qualified for the post-season twice (2020 and 2023) under his leadership.

Before joining the Browns, he held numerous roles from 2006 to 2019 with the Vikings. He was their offensive coordinator during his final two seasons in Minnesota.

Still according to Russini, general manager Andrew Berry should keep his job in Cleveland.
