Brahimi Transfer: Israeli Club Bid Rejected?

Billal Brahimi’s Brazilian adventure quickly turned into a nightmare. Arriving at Santos last September with the ambition of relaunching his career, the Algerian striker ultimately only played… 20 minutes in his new colors. A paltry playing time, even though the Brazilian championship ended at the beginning of November and resumes this week. A recovery which should however be done without him, Brahimi now being ready to leave.

Aged 25, the player has only participated in one match since his arrival. The leaders of Santos now wish to part with it, mainly due to its non-use by the coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda. A sporting choice that weighs heavily, especially since the Brazilian club must assume a substantial salary, greater than 112,000 euros monthly, although validated upon signing. Lacking rhythm and relegated far in the offensive hierarchy, the passage of Billal Brahimi has Santos clearly did not have the expected impact.

Avenues studied, an assumed decision

The contractual situation of Billal Brahimi attracted several suitors. Among them, the Hapoel Tel-Avivan Israeli club based in Palestine busy, made a six-month loan offer. A proposal that the Algerian international firmly rejected. Other clubs have also positioned themselves, notably the Warsaw Legion in Poland et Vancouver in MLS.

But according to the Brazilian pressthe future of Brahimi seems to be written elsewhere. The striker is very close to a return to France. Le Havre began discussions with Santos and exchanges are progressing positively. Both parties are optimistic that an agreement will be reached in the coming days.
