In Braga, the English wasted a penalty in the 53rd minute, with Hornicek defending the shot made by Morgan Gibbs-White, and in the next minute the Portuguese team took the lead, benefiting from an own goal by Ryan Yates.
With this result, Sporting de Braga, whose continuation in the competition is assured via play-off, remains in fifth place, with 16 points, in a direct qualifying position, while Forest, who saw Elliot Anderson sent off after 90+4 minutes, is in the play-off places.
With the night’s results, FC Porto, also with the play-off for access to the round of 16 secured and who drew 1-1 in the visit to Viktoria Plzen, gained 14 points and fell to ninth place, the first outside the direct qualification zone.
