PSV can start again in the Eredivisie on Saturday evening. Only three days after the cup visit to FC Den Bosch (1-4), where Peter Bosz spared the necessary players, an away match with Fortuna Sittard awaits. Which eleven players will the PSV coach send onto the field? VoetbalPrimeur gets into his head and takes a shot at the probable starting eleven.
Under the management of PSV is Matej Kovar, who has officially announced this week that he will remain active in Eindhoven after this season. At the back, Bosz will most likely opt for the foursome Sergiño Dest, Ryan Flamingo, Yarek Gasiorowski and Mauro Júnior.
Jerdy Schouten, usually a center defender this season, will be posted in midfield by Bosz. That’s because Mauro is needed at the left back. The Brazilian still replaces Anass Salah-Eddine, who has qualified for the final of the African Cup with Morocco. The other two midfielders, besides Schouten, will be the in excellent form Joey Veerman and Paul Wanner.
Because Ricardo Pepi broke his forearm against Excelsior (5-1) last week, he will not be present against Fortuna. The striker will only be fit again in two months. Guus Til will therefore start again as a most central attacker. PSV’s flanks will be filled by Dennis Man (right) and Ivan Perisic (left).
The match between Fortuna and PSV starts on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. If the people of Eindhoven win, the gap with ‘pursuer’ Feyenoord will at least temporarily increase to sixteen points.
