In the resumption of season 7 of the Basketball Champions League, After a month without action after the first stage, the Argentine teams returned to the scene this week. The team led by Gonzalo Pérez took revenge for the defeat suffered in the second group match (80-61 in Uruguay) and made a difference from the beginning. The figure was Agustín Barreiro, with 22 points and 14 rebounds, well accompanied by Francisco Cáffaro (14 and 10), both with double-doubles. The key to the victory was in absolute control of the boards: Boca captured 48 rebounds – a club record in the competition – against 32 for its rival, which allowed it to run the court and gain a wide advantage in points in transition (24-4). In addition, he ruled in the decisive statistical areas: 20-9 in points after losses, 19-10 in second chances, 50-32 in the paint and 25 assists against 11 for Minas.
