Bills OC: Pete Carmichael Hired

The Buffalo Bills hired Pete Carmichael as offensive coordinator on Friday, a source confirmed to the network. ESPN.

Carmichael is the first coordinator hired by new Bills head coach Joe Brady. Whoever replaces Sean McDermott will also have to recruit a new defensive coordinator and a new special teams coordinator.

Brady and Carmichael know each other well, having previously worked together under the leadership of the New Orleans Saints. Pete Carmichael was then the coordinator of the Saints where Brady acted as an assistant.

Prior to joining the Bills, Carmichael served as an assistant offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos.

Joe Brady said he and his quarterback, Jos Allen, were in complete agreement on what they were looking for in recruiting an offensive coordinator.

The Bills’ new head coach has spent the last two seasons as the team’s offensive coordinator.
