Benfica & NOS: €57.1M Sponsorship Deal to 2028

Benfica announced the signing of a new contract for the sale of television rights with NOS for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, in a global agreement that amounts to 114.2 million euros, the equivalent of 57.1 million per season. This is the highest value ever achieved in the Portuguese market in this area, remember the Reds.

In a statement sent this Monday to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), Benfica SAD clarifies that the agreement involves Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD, Benfica TV, NOS SGPS and NOS Lusomundo Audiovisuais. The contract includes the transfer of television and multimedia broadcasting rights for the home games of the main football team for the National Championship of the I Division, as well as the broadcasting and distribution rights for the Benfica TV channel.

According to the same statement, the direct financial contribution to the television rights contract is 104.6 million euros for a period of two years. Added to this value is an advertising contract for the Benfica TV channel, estimated at an additional 2.4 million euros.

In the negotiation, the incarnated SAD also ensured the retention of the rights to exploit dynamic advertising at the Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium, in the same sporting seasons, valued at 7.2 million euros.

With these different components, the total revenue associated with television in the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons thus reaches 114.2 million euros, reinforcing Benfica’s position as «the club with the greatest capacity to generate audiovisual revenue in Portuguese football.»

Benfica’s home games in the championship will continue to be broadcast on BTV.
