Benfica Campo Maior Criticizes Rui Costa: Disrespect Claim

The re-election as president of Benfica did not pacify Rui Costa’s bond with his partners, especially because there are sensitive aspects that go beyond the four lines. This Friday, on social media, Casa do Benfica in Campo Maior targeted the president regarding his statements on the program “Pelas Casas do Benfica”, on the occasion of the anniversary of house no. 2, in Caldas da Rainha.

To BTV, Rui Costa said that house no. 1 – in Campo Maior – was closed, which made the house in Caldas the one with the lowest number of functions. Therefore, the leaders of Casa do Benfica in Campo Maior revealed “tremendous astonishment and a feeling of injustice”.

«Huge disrespect for everyone who is part of Casa do Benfica N.º 1, corporate bodies, partners and supporters. (…) Not only is it open, six days a week, but it continues to grow in the number of members, developing sporting and social activities, as well as improving its facilities so that it can welcome everyone in a dignified and welcoming way. Therefore, we look forward to your visit with great enthusiasm», we read on social media.
