VEENENDAAL The badminton players of BC ‘t Veen have taken some distance from the two bottom teams in the fourth division. The Veenendalers beat BC Leerdam 3 3-5 in a direct match and now have a six-point gap with the Leerdammers.

The difference was made in the singles, where Ben van Luttikhuizen, Janneke Bevaart and Jamie van Brienen were able to score a Veenendaal victory. Van Brienen also won the women’s doubles with Bevaart and the mixed doubles with Wouter Fondse, which meant that the win went to Veenendaal.

The men of WSV Dronder Noord recorded a regular victory. The Veenendaal leader was too strong at Bodegraven with 2-6. Pursuer Helios won with the same figures, leaving the difference of nine points in Veen’s favor.
