Home win against Vechta! BMA365 Bamberg Baskets end the first half of the season with a positive result

After the victory in the Frankenderby against Würzburg, the BMA365 Bamberg Baskets followed up with another success on their own stage. In the catch-up game on matchday 2 in the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, Bamberg defeated RASTA Vechta 96:86 (49:48) on Wednesday evening. In front of 4,123 spectators, head coach Anton Gavel’s team was able to record its ninth win of the season and thus end the first half of the season with a positive result.
The spectators in the BROSE ARENA saw an intense and exciting encounter in which both teams were still neck and neck after thirty minutes. However, the last part of the game went clearly to the hosts with a score of 23:13, who ultimately deservedly secured their home win.
The top scorer in the BMA365 Bamberg Baskets team was once again team captain Ibi Watson with 28 points. Cobe Williams (19) as well as Richard Balint and Demarcus Demonia (13 each) also scored double-digit points. The best thrower in the Lower Saxony team was Tommy Kuhse with 24 points. League top scorer Alonzo Verge Jr. held Bamberg’s defense to just 6 points in this game.
