Departmental youth championship, in Questembert
With three titles won on Saturday and Sunday in Questembert, during the departmentals, Milan Le Garff was the big winner of this competition. A singles title (cadets), a mixed doubles (upgraded juniors) associated with Georgia Stierle Davies, her club mate, and a men’s doubles (cadets) associated with Titouan Le Tutour, another roommate. An assessment which also constituted the declared objective of this young person from the Dinard Espoirs pole, ranked in the Top 20 in singles, Top 15 in men’s doubles and in the Top 10 in mixed at the national level. Already a reference.
Milan Le Garff, enormous potential
The 16-year-old boy has already built up a solid track record, having, since 2024, accumulated titles at both the departmental and regional level. Last November, he even won the two highest steps of the podium during an international tournament in Ibiza (Spain) with the men’s doubles and the mixed doubles under the colors of the Pôle Espoirs de Dinard. This puts a little better the enormous potential of the boy who, in the recent past, had also dabbled in handball.
“But a discovery session in Kervignac was enough for me to decide that badminton would be my sport,” admits the latter. And it’s not the 12 hours of weekly training in Dinard that are eroding his motivation. Milan Le Garff, certainly, is a name to remember.
