Leerdam – BC Leerdam has again done well in the title battle. The Leerdam badminton players won 7-1 against BC US.

In the men’s doubles, Edwin de Weerd and Mats van ‘t Pad never encountered any problems. The duo easily won in two sets. The women’s doubles, with Sherena Vink and Meltem Roozen, had a different course. The Leerdam ladies had to work hard. Long rallies, a lot of running, they managed to win in two sets.

In the singles, Mats van ‘t Pad and Sherena Vink won their matches fairly easily in two sets. Edwin de Weerd, the second lord of BC Leerdam, had a hard time in his party. In the exciting decisive third set, the lack of match rhythm broke him down and he lost the match. A decisive third set was also needed in second lady Meltem Roozen’s single. She lost the first set, but through tactical adjustments in her game she managed to win the second and third sets comfortably.

In the mixed doubles of Mats van ‘t Pad and Sherena Vink, a third set was also needed.
