At the start of the second half of the 1st Badminton Bundesliga, an away game was scheduled for 1. BV Mülheim. However, they only managed to annoy SC Union 08 Lüdinghausen a little in front of over 130 spectators.
The Ruhrstadters clearly lost 0:7. Danylo Bosniuk’s return hasn’t had a significant impact either. In the first men’s singles he narrowly lost to Aram Mahmoud in five sets. Jarne Schlevoigt and Nikolaj Stupplich were similarly defeated by their opponents Nick Fransman and Josche Zurwonne in the second men’s doubles. For the women, the 1.BVM also had to improvise and use Annika Weis, a woman from the third team.
While the Mülheimers are still in 7th place, Lüdinghausen is certainly heading towards a playoff participation.
The next home game will take place shortly before the German Open. Then the 1st BC Saarbrücken-Bischmisheim comes to the Ruhr area.
