After four successive setbacks, Amiens Université Club Badminton intends to return to success at the start of 2026, in particular with this first return confrontation against Lille, scheduled for this Sunday, January 18.
The end of 2025 will have been difficult, but just as encouraging for the bad players of Amiens UC Badminton. Defeated four times in the last four meetings, the Samarians still managed to regain momentum and materialize their efforts with a defensive bonus acquired on December 14 during the reception of Liancourt. The last three defeats remained almost “logical”, but had given rise to the hope of picking up more points in future confrontations to achieve a much better second half of the season.
This Sunday, the Amiens will return to Lille. The only team in the Samariens field which emerged victorious from this opening duel of the season with a score of 3-5. A short victory, where they could once again harbor regrets for having left the defensive bonus to the Northerners. This time, Ophélie Béron and her family hope “win again, and why not with a better final score”. The latter would indeed be well inspired to sign a greater success to distance the Lille in the ranking, who are only a small point behind, then by Quesnoy-sur-Deûle with two points, which the Picards will meet again on February 21.
The two upcoming confrontations for the Samarians will be crucial for their future in the division, and they intend “do their best as usual, to seek victory”. Without that, the descent could be played out in a pinch between Amiens and their two future adversaries…
