■Comments from various contest winners

[SHISEIDO MEN SKILLS CHALLENGE]Yuki Togashi/Chiba Jets
(Key points for winning) The order was also important. Based on my time up to that point, I thought I could win if I didn’t make any mistakes, and it was also important to leave a good time and put pressure on the next rider, Shinoyama, so I tried to make no mistakes.
I’ve been participating in the Skills Challenge for a long time, but lately I’ve been feeling frustrated after losing to Kawamura and Shinoyama, so I’m glad I was able to win at the milestone of my 10th year in the B.LEAGUE and my 10th year in the All-Star competition. Now I can retire gracefully from Skills Challenge (lol).
For the past few years, we’ve been playing the All-Stars at the newly built arena, and it’s a great arena again this time, so I’m looking forward to playing the main game tomorrow.

[MINERVA 3POINT CONTEST]Kosuke Kanamaru/Saga Ballooners
I’m honestly happy. There was a lot of cheering when I entered the venue, and although I felt under pressure, I was happy because I thought, “Everyone is looking forward to it.” A lot of people from Saga came to support us, so it was great to be able to see them win. It had been a long time since I had competed, so I wanted to win, but most of all I wanted to have fun.
(Tominaga couldn’t make a shot in overtime) Huh? Huh? That’s what I was looking at. I didn’t think “I can win with this,” but as a fellow shooter, I had a slightly complicated feeling that I can’t describe. Tominaga missed the last colored ball in the first competition, and if he had hit that, he probably would have won. Even at that time, I felt a sense of disappointment.

[RELIVE DUNK CONTEST]Taku Sudo Tyrell/Fighting Eagles Nagoya
The first one is “Three Sixty One Alley Oop” and the second one is “East Bay”. I had no idea what to do for the second shot, so I did the first thing I thought of, a dunk. I had been successful a few times in college, but from what I practiced this morning, I felt like I might or might not make it, but when I saw those two dunks, I thought, “I have no choice but to try.” I was relieved that it was decided.
Ever since I was little, I’ve always been the type of person who was able to demonstrate my abilities better if I had people cheering for me, so I was really nervous, but everyone cheered me on and encouraged me. At first, I thought the venue was a bit loud, but I got used to it, and I was able to encourage everyone to make a successful dunk, and I think it turned out to be a win-win situation for both parties, and it turned out to be a great DUNK CONTEST.
