Due to the winter conditions, AZ trained this afternoon in the hall at the training complex in Wijdewormer. Attacker Lequincio Zeefuik was missing there. The striker is in talks with another club for a rental period. Heracles would be interested in Zeefuik, but Huiberts did not want to confirm this yet.
AZ blocks Kwakman transition
Dave Kwakman was present at the training today. Kwakman is said to be on his way to FC Volendam for a temporary transfer, but AZ is putting a stop to that for the time being.
On Friday, the AZ players had to take a physical test and Kwakman is said to have done very poorly. “FC Volendam is indeed interested, but it has not been finalized yet. Dave has to show that he is ready. He is not yet, because we were not satisfied with what he showed on Friday. The switch is now on hold,” said Huiberts.
