The Audi team is the fourth racing stable to announce the livery for the 2026 season. It will be the first year that the former Sauber will drive in the colors of the German Audi. During a season launchevent at Kraftwerk in German capital Berlin, the team introduced the world to the R26 for the first time.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner was accompanied by Mattia Binotto – head of Audi’s Formula 1 project -, team boss Jonathan Wheatley and drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto during the launch of the brand new R26. As expected, the livery is mostly silver, with red and black tones. The famous logo with the four rings is also prominently present. The racing team previously revealed the color scheme for their very first Formula 1 car. At the beginning of January, Audi was the first team to run its car during a shakedown in Barcelona.

‘Extremely exciting’
After returning to Sauber, Nico Hülkenberg is now embarking on a new adventure with Audi. The German star is looking forward to further building the team together with the German manufacturer. “We are a true factory team with a clear long-term vision, backed by vast resources and world-class expertise,” said Hülkenberg in Berlin. “It is extremely exciting for a driver to be involved with Audi from the very beginning. We have the opportunity to build something very special together and I look forward to putting this car on the track in Melbourne.”
Gabriel Bortoleto – who is on the eve of his second season in Formula 1 – is also ready to start working as an Audi driver. “Racing for the Four Rings, a brand with such an iconic and successful history in motorsport, is simply a dream come true,” said the Brazilian. “You grow up hearing stories of Audi’s dominance at Le Mans and in rallying, and now to be chosen to continue that legacy in Formula 1 is an incredible honour. This is the opportunity of a lifetime.”
“I feel the weight of responsibility, but more than that I feel incredible motivation to learn, push and grow with this team,” Bortoleto continues. “I am ready to give everything to help write this great chapter for the Audi Revolut F1 Team.”
