ALEMANY EXPLAINED
Atletico Madrid Football Director Mateu Alemany touched on Almada’s transfer situation before their match against Galatasaray in the Champions League. Alemany answered the question about Almada: “That’s out of the question.” He replied:
Thiago Almada, who started football in his country, Argentina, in the infrastructure of Velez Sarsfield, later played for Atlanta United, Botafogo and Lyon.
Almada, who was transferred to Atletico Madrid at the beginning of this season, scored 57 goals and 42 assists in 248 matches throughout his career.
