Reigning Spanish football champions FC Barcelona suffered their third defeat in the ongoing La Liga season.
In Sunday’s match of the 20th round, Real Sociedad San Sebastian lost 1:2 to their home team, and at the top of the table they are now only one point ahead of Real Madrid.

Valencia picked up a vital three points in their battle for survival with a 1-0 win at Getafe after Jose Gayo’s 84th-minute goal. It ended a streak of six league games without a win. Getafe is now pulling such a line.
Celta Vigo claimed their third win in a row in Spain’s top flight and keep in touch with the rungs ensuring participation in the European Cup.
At home, they beat Rayo Vallecano 3:0, which was played from the 66th minute on by ten.
