For several days, the name of Brian Madjo had been coming back insistently on the other side of the Channel. Born in England, the 17-year-old striker is one of the world’s most precocious 2009s with his five appearances for FC Metz in Ligue 1 since the start of the season. A reality which has inevitably aroused the desires of English big names like Aston Villa. And after a few days of negotiations, the Villans officially recruited the prodigy, already a Luxembourg international (3 selections), for nearly 12 million euros. The information was confirmed by FC Metz in a press release.
« FC Metz announces the departure of Brian Madjo to England. On his 17th birthday, the Anglo-Luxembourgish striker will join Aston Villa, currently third in the Premier League. (…) Logically courted by numerous European teams during last summer, Brian Madjo nevertheless chose to sign his first professional contract within his training club.
