For the 20th day of the Euroleague, AS Monaco overthrew Partizan Belgrade this Tuesday.
A good start to the year. Monaco started the new year as it ended 2025, with a big success in the Euroleague, its fourth in a row, Tuesday at home against Partizan Belgrade (101-84) on the 20th day.
Winners to end the year at Real Madrid (100-95) then at Barcelona (90-74), the Monegasques (13 wins for 7 defeats) will try to make it three against Spanish clubs in Valencia on Thursday, with first place at stake. The Valencian leader should pose much more difficulty than the Serbs, left behind even before the quarter of an hour of play (41-25, 13th) by a very skillful “Roca Team” at long distance (10/13 at half-time, 15/25 in the end).

Partizan, led by former Monegasque Nick Calathes, got close to the 10-point deficit thanks to a 10-0 lead at the end of the third quarter (71-60, 29th). But this return was quickly annihilated, by an outside arrow and good defense from Nikola Mirotic (13 pts and 4 rebounds), then a 7-0 at the start of the fourth quarter (81-63).
Like the Spanish-Montenegrin interior, five other players passed the 10-point mark within a team from the altruistic Principality (22 assists while all players scored). And who scored at least 100 points for the third time in a row at home.
