End of game Saturday 3 January: 1.30pm
Aston Villa – Nottingham: Both Teams to Score @ 1.77
Aston Villa got a solid game from Arsenal the day before New Year’s Eve. 1-4 in the barracks were words and no songs from The Gunners and it was not very strange that Unai Emery walked straight down the players’ tunnel after the final whistle. Villa was not enough and to tell the truth the loss had been in the air for quite a while. Villa have, as it were, overperformed the most of all teams in the Premier League.
I’m not discounting The Villans at home against Nottingham who in turn got 0-2 in the quarter by Everton, but any given winner is not the home team. Above all, Martínez’s zero is not a given. Nottingham have a suitable match picture ahead of them and I won’t be surprised if Igor Jesus succeeds in terrorizing the host club’s backline which does not have the physical qualities required to deal with the brass.
Conditions for many goals are there and I bet that both teams score at over 1.75. A nice odds to start the Saturday with.

Wolverhampton v West Ham: Home win @ 2.55
Day D has come for both Wolverhampton and West Ham. In the case of the latter, it is of course not over in terms of the hope of a new contract should there be a loss away from Birmingham, but a defeat against the table jumbo who has not yet won would leave deep wounds in West Ham’s spine. It should also be said that the spine is not very strong like this one.
The back line is horrible in my book and I wouldn’t be surprised if The Hammers find it hard to keep up when the huge Arokodare steps up. Mane is another player capable of disrupting West Ham’s back line and as long as Rob Edwards’ side manage to keep themselves out of turnovers, more than half are won in front of the not particularly spoiled – at least not this season – home crowd.
I mean it’s time for Wolverhampton and therefore play the straight one at a yummy 2.55.

Bournemouth – Arsenal: Away win @ 1.52
Arsenal put on a real show of strength as they thrashed Aston Villa 4-1 at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta was hit on most things and it should be recorded that the Spaniard had previously piloted any number of great victories. When the attacking players finally delivered, Arteta’s company received a mental boost that can undeniably last all the way to the Vitality Stadium.
This is where Bournemouth awaits on Saturday evening. The Cherries, in turn, are boosted after a 2-2 away draw against Chelsea, which caused Enzo Maresca to leave his post, but here a tougher task awaits the red and black. It is also not inconceivable that Iraola’s company will have to do without Semenyo, who is rumored to be very close to a transfer to Manchester City. It would be a noticeable loss for the offense.
I think Arsenal have another strong effort in them and therefore play the second straight. Over 1.50 is taken.
