The young San Francisco archer, representative of the Shooting and Gymnastics Club, will be part of the national monitoring group in the Outdoor Men’s Recurve modality.
The San Francisco Archer Leo Ezequiel Vivas received an important call when he was included in the Reserve of the Argentine Under-21 Archery Team, in the Outdoor Men’s Recurve modality. The citation was made by the National Technical Committee of the Argentine Archery Federation (FATARCO), in recognition of his outstanding performance and closing of the season.
Starting this year, Vivas officially moved to the U-21 age category, which implies a new challenge in her sports career. The change in division also entails a modification in the regulatory distance, since it will begin to compete shooting at 70 metersa key step in the development process towards high performance.
The National Team Reserve functions as a monitoring space for those athletes who were part of national teams or pre-selections and who, due to category transition, must go through an adaptation stage without losing technical and sporting support.
In this framework, Vivas will be part of a group that maintains a direct link with the High Performance system, and may be summoned to concentrations, evaluations, camps and different processes linked to the selection, according to the annual planning of the National Technical Committee.
As part of his preparation, the young goalkeeper will travel next week to the city of Bahía Blanca, where he will carry out two weeks of intensive in-person training with his teacher Mauro de Mattia, who is currently guiding his sporting development.
