Ardea: Territory Control – Arrests & Sanctions

A widespread territorial control operation, carried out by the Carabinieri of the Anzio Company, affected the central areas of the city, from the Rocca to Tor San Lorenzo.

An extraordinary device with the aim of strengthening safety and combating illegality, through targeted checks on people and vehicles.

The most significant toll comes from the fight against drug dealing.

At Tor San Lorenzo the Carabinieri of the Operational Division, together with the soldiers of the Navy Station, arrested a 28-year-old from Ardea. The young man was found in possession of 125 grams of cocaine, material for packaging doses and a sum of money believed to be proceeds from drug dealing.

He was placed under house arrest pending the immediate trial.

During the operation, a report was also made to the Prefecture for the use of narcotic substances.

At the same time, numerous road traffic checks were carried out: four people were reported, including a driver with a very high blood alcohol level and a young man caught driving without a licence. Two boys from Anzio found with a baseball bat and a knife were also reported.

Finally, a 37-year-old was reported for escaping from house arrest.

In total, 92 people and 47 vehicles were checked, with fines of 17,600 euros and two vehicles seized.
