Parents or guardians can go to the educational institution closest to their place of residence and present the student’s identity document, the previous year’s academic certificate and, in case of disability or learning disorder, the corresponding medical certificate.

By 2026, The Ministry of Education projects an enrollment of 381,147 students in the official sector and 26,948 in the unofficial sector. The academic calendar will begin on January 19 and end on November 29, 2026.

The Secretary of Education of Antioquia, Adrián Alexander Castro, said: “Our call is for all families to register their sons and daughters in a timely manner. Education is a right and an opportunity to transform lives and territories. From the Ministry of Education we continue working to offer conditions that guarantee access, permanence and educational quality in every corner of the department.”
