The Frenchman Léo Anguenot took third place on Saturday in the ski giant of Adelboden won by the Swiss Marco Odermatt, who won, in front of his audience, his fifth victory in a row in this legendary event. A precious podium now less than a month before the start of the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.
Fourth in the first round, the 27-year-old Haut-Savoyard attacked under heavy snow during an almost perfect second game but was finally beaten by Odermatt for 68/100th, reaching his second World Cup podium after his second place at the giant of Alta Badia at the end of 2024 and won by a certain… Marco Odermatt.
The Brazilian Lucas Pinheiro Braathen took second place, 49/100th behind the Swiss. He also took 2nd place in the general classification of the World Cup, but is 467 points behind Odermatt, more leader than ever.
The Austrian Marco Schwarz, who was second in the race for the big globe before the giant from Adelboden, made a mistake in the second heat and fell to 3rd place.
Among the other Frenchmen Alexis Pinturault finished in 12th place, 2″23 behind the winner.
