Anderlecht Transfer News: Striker Deal Imminent

Over the past 24 hours, Anderecht has made good progress in the Danylo Sikan case. The Ukrainian striker is getting closer and closer to a move to Lotto Park.

Last summer, Anderlecht was already looking for a new striker: the departure of Kasper Dolberg to Ajax left a considerable void up front. As feared, Luis Vazquez was not able to fill it.

The Mauves had recruited Adriano Bertaccini in the same transfer window, but his profile is not that of a pure number nine. Mihajlo Cvetković and Keisuke Goto are getting closer, but the first city still has to expand its register, while the second has been sent on loan to Saint-Trond to get tougher.

Anderlecht failed to attract an additional striker at the end of the summer transfer window but seems on a better footing for the second part of the season. This morning, we told you about management’s interest in Danylo Sikan, a 24-year-old Ukrainian striker.

Negotiations are moving quickly

The situation is becoming clearer: this afternoon, Fabrizio Romano reports that Anderlecht is close to an agreement with Trabzonspor for the transfer of his player. If this is confirmed, Sporting would spend around 3.5 million in the operation.

The Turks had paid almost twice as much to attract him from Shkahtar Donetsk a year ago. But his difficult adaptation (only one start in the Turkish championship this season) has lowered his value.
