RSC Anderlecht and KAA Gent are threatening to compete with each other this winter, not only on the field, but also on the transfer market. According to the generally well-informed ‘Tip sheet’ Both clubs have their eyes on the same attacker: Amin Chiakha.
Chiakha is barely 19 years old, but can already show a remarkable track record. The striker was a youth international for Denmark, but recently opted for the Algeria national team, for which he has already collected two caps. At club level he currently plays for Vejle Boldklub, which is at the bottom of the Danish Superliga.
Vejle rents Chiakha from FC Copenhagen, with a deal that would normally run until next summer. However, an early break does not seem to be ruled out. According to Tipsbladet, there is a real chance that the rental deal will be terminated this winter, so that the striker can leave permanently. In anticipation of this, Chiakha skipped Vejle’s training camp.

The interest is not limited to Belgium. In addition to Anderlecht and Ghent, Rosenborg BK and FC Basel are also said to have reported. Some of those clubs are even said to be in discussions with FC Copenhagen about a possible transfer.
