The former FC Barcelona player has signed with Racing until 2027.
Only 198 kilometers separate Stade de la Meinau from Steffisburg, the birthplace of Ana-Maria Crnogorčević, in the canton of Bern. After having enjoyed the greatest successes in the four corners of the world, it is almost a homecoming for the Swiss polyglot.
Top scorer in the local first division at just 19 years old, she then discovered Germany. First in Hamburg – where she burst onto the scene – before winning a first Champions League in 2015 with Frankfurt. The striker then flew to the American Professional League before signing for FC Barcelona. There she rubs shoulders with the best players in the world, notably the latest winners of the Ballon d’Or: Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati. In Catalonia, it expands its track record with 4 Spanish championships and 2 Champions Leagues (2021, 2023).
With 174 caps and 76 goals, she has many records: most capped player and top scorer in the history of the Swiss selection. The 35-year-old striker is now linked to Racing until 2027.
