The AlUla Tour, formerly the Tour of Saudi Arabia and then the Saudi Tour, takes place from Tuesday January 27 to Saturday January 31, 2026. Contested in the northwest of the Saudi desert, the event is now part of the UCI ProSeries calendar, in category 2.Pro.
As in previous years, this cycling race gives pride of place to sprinters, who should have the opportunity to shine on three occasions to ideally kick off their season. We will notably find the green jersey of the last Tour de France, Jonathan Milan, as well as Milan Fretin, Phil Bauhaus, Pascal Ackermann, Arvid De Kleijn and Fabio Jakobsen.
As for the general, the ranking should be decided during the 3rd stage, which ends with an arrival at the summit (Bir Jaydah Mountain Wirkah, 2.8 km at 9.4%) as well as during the 5th stage, with the climb to Harrat, 2.8 km long at 12%. The defending champion Thomas Pidcock will not defend his crown, opening the prospect to a great battle between the Swiss Jan Christen, the Irish Eddie Dunbar and the American Kevin Vermaerke, among the main favorites to succeed the Englishman.
