Ajax and Kalmar FF have reached an agreement on the transfer of Nassef Chourak to the Swedish club, the Amsterdammers report through official channels. The midfielder had an expiring contract. At the same time, Samory Kone comes over from the youth of RSC Anderlecht, says Fabrizio Romano.
Chourak exchanged the youth academy of ADO Den Haag for that of Ajax in 2018. In Amsterdam, the left-footed player went through several youth teams and has been part of the Jong Ajax selection since the summer of 2023.
On August 25, 2023, he made his professional football debut in the match between SC Cambuur and Jong Ajax. In total, Chourak played 67 Kitchen Champion Division matches on behalf of Jong Ajax. He managed to score eight times.
Marijn Beuker comes up with an honest explanation. “Nassef came over from ADO Den Haag in the summer of 2018 and he has developed well since then. Unfortunately, he was not able to make the final step towards the first team with us.”
“He also had an expiring contract and that is why we wanted to assist in a transfer to grant him a successful continuation of his football career. We wish him good luck in Sweden,” said the football director.
On Wednesday, Romano reported that Ajax is also strengthening itself with a youth player from Anderlecht, Kone. It is not clear until when the fifteen-year-old winger will be under contract.
