Archery: Agathois archers shine at the Bessan indoor competition

On the weekend of January 3 and 4, the town of Bessan hosted the indoor archery competition (18 meters), organized by the Archers de la Tuque.

A competition conducted with rigor and professionalism, in an atmosphere that was both sporting and friendly, which brought together many archers from across the department and beyond.

The organizers once again demonstrated their know-how, thanks to flawless organization and a welcome unanimously praised by the participants. Volunteers and referees largely contributed to the smooth running of the event, allowing competitors to perform in optimal conditions.

Among the clubs present, the Compagnie des Archers Agathois particularly stood out by achieving very good results in several disciplines and categories.

  • Lonis Dumont s’impose en U18 masculin,
  • Steven André takes first place in Senior 1 men,

  • Laurent Zdyb won in Senior 2 men, ahead of Lionel Arquis, second,

A Senior 3, Corinne Garces took first place among the women, while Claude Calbet finished sixth and Alain Pawelski seventh among the men.

Finally, with a bare bow, the Agathois archers confirm their regularity:

  • Anne-Barbara Benard wins in the adult female category,
  • Séverine Fernandez takes fourth place,

In men, Christel Puig finished second, François Pujo fourth, followed by Xavier André ninth and Éric Benard eleventh.

These results reflect the work, investment and consistency of the Agathois archers, who continue to fly the colors of their club.
