AFCON Round of 16: Fixtures & Schedule

On the last day of 2025the clashes in the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations! Com 16 classified teams, the path to the final has also been designed and the knockout stage will begin next Saturday (3).

In addition to the top two in each of the six groups, the four best third-placed teams also advanced to the playoffs of the competition, hosted by Morocco. In other words, only two third places – Angola and Comoros – and the last placed teams in each group – Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Botswana, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon – fell by the wayside in the initial phase.

The big disappointment of this group stage was the Gabonfrom the star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyangwhat it was placed on the group F with no points (three defeats in three games) and therefore left the competition early.

The round of 16 matches will be played between Saturday and Tuesday (6), with the quarterfinals starting on Friday (9) and the semis on January 14th. The grand final is scheduled for the 17th, at the Mohammed V Stadium, in Casablanca.
