2025 AFCON: Quarter-Final Qualifiers – Teams Confirmed

A total of six national teams are certain to qualify for the quarter-finals 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The following is a list of teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

The 2025 African Cup of Nations has entered the final round of 16. Of the eight matches in the last 16, now only two remain.

This means that there are six national teams that already hold tickets to the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after winning in the last 16.

The six teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations are: Mali, Senegal, Egypt, Cameroon, Morocco and Nigeria.

Nigeria and Egypt are the last two countries to qualify for the last eight after winning in the round of 16, Monday (5/1) local time.

In the round of 16, Egypt struggled to win 3-1 over Benin at the Adrar Stadium. Benin gave Egypt difficult resistance, so that in normal time it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Marwan Attia gave Egypt a 1-0 lead in the 69th minute, but Jodel Dossou equalized the score in the 83rd minute.

The match must end in extra time. In the two extra rounds, Egypt added two goals through Yasser Ibrahim and Mohamed Salah. Egypt won 3-1 and qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

In another match, Nigeria beat Mozambique 4-0 at the Sportif de Fes Complex Stadium, Tuesday (6/1) early morning WIB.

Victor Osimhen scored two goals in this match. The rest were scored by Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams.

There are still two matches remaining in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, namely Algeria vs Democratic Republic of Congo and Ivory Coast vs Burkina Faso.
