Las Next Gen ATP Finals were born in 2017 as a young masters cup, a tournament in which to bring together the greatest promises of the tennis world male.
In their record are Carlos Alcaraz (2021), who only a year later would reach number one in the world after winning the US Open, or Jannik Sinner (2019), which promises to mark, together with the Spaniard, a new era in men’s tennis.
The Italian is one of only two tennis players to have won the Nex Gen and the ATP Finals. The other is Greek Stefanos Tsitsipaswho achieved it just one year apart.
The first winner of the Next Gen ATP Finals was Hyeon Chungwhile the most recent champion is the Brazilian Joao Fonseca.
